This Summer camp in Dublin for high school students offers a great balanced mix of English language classes and fun activities for students aged 11 to 17. It’s the perfect program for teens who want to improve their English while enjoying sports, games, and other exciting activities. The Teen Summer Camp in Dublin features an activity schedule with trips to famous cultural spots, excursions to historical places, and various sports options like tournaments. The camp also offers creative activities such as dance, music, drama, and arts & crafts, all designed for high school students.

The camp’s goal is to help students learn about Irish culture and history through both English lessons and activities. Classes include topics about Ireland, with a focus on helping students improve their language skills while having an unforgettable summer experience.

How will I study English?

You will study English in groups of maximum 15 students (average size 10)  Classes are available at all learning levels during the summer months from complete beginner to advanced.

Each group has two teachers. 

Teacher 1 - Grammar and language use.
Teacher 2 - Comprehension and fluency.

Classes will alternate between mornings and afternoons for two weeks.

You are given an oral and written test on your first day of the course and then placed in a class appropriate to your level of English. Students’ progress is monitored on an ongoing basis and class levels are adjusted accordingly.

Supervision

What will I do after classes?

Join one of the many activities on offer daily. It's up to you what you choose! The Program of Events and activities is lively and interesting and includes sports, excursions and visits to places of cultural interest in the city.

In the evening, there are plenty of activities to keep you entertained, including Irish music and dancing, discos, singsongs, quizzes, and treasure hunts.

On weekends, you have the choice between a 1-day excursion, which is included in the course fee, and 2-day excursions available at an additional cost.

Where will I stay?

Alexandra College 

Students between 11 and 14 years old stay during the Teen Summer camp in Dublin on the campus of Alexandra College. This brand new residence complex of Alexandra College is ideally located.

Trinity Hall

If you are between 14 and 17 years old you can choose to stay on the beautiful campus of Trinity Hall. Due to the size of the campus and its residence, it is ideal for the more mature students.

Cleaning  and linen on both locations: 

Apartments are given one full clean with a change of linen and one mini clean per week. Apartments are fully serviced between occupancies. Linen is changed once a week and towels are changed twice a week.

Laundry Facilities 

There is a launderette on site with washing machines and dryers. It costs €5 per wash and approximately €2 to dry clothes. Washing detergents are not included but can be purchased in the convenience shop (individual doses are also available).

Deposits and Damages
A deposit of €50 is charged to all students and is payable on arrival. The deposit will be refunded provided that no damage has been caused. If a student causes property damage we will deduct the cost of damages from the total amount. The Institute reserves the right to recover the cost for exceptional cleaning.

Health and Safety
As part of the welcome orientation, students are required to attend a briefing on the safety regulations. This briefing includes an introduction to life on the campus, security of personal property and fire safety. Attendance is compulsory. You will also receive details of first aid procedures, which they should follow in the event of an accident.

Key Cards
Electronic key cards are provided to each student. These cards will be required to access apartments and may be used to lock rooms. You will be charged for the replacement of lost or broken keys.

Arrival and departure

From Dublin Airport both locations are less than 20 kilometres from Dublin Airport. Transfers to and from the airport take approximately 30 minutes depending on traffic. Students under the age of 18 who travel unaccompanied by an adult must book and pay for arrival and departure transfers.
