Homestay immersion in Brazil offers teenagers the opportunity to experience the daily life of a host family in Brazil. We assure you that your stay in Brazil with a host family will improve your level of Portuguese thanks to constant immersion in family life and daily interactions with your family members. It is an immersion program in Brazil.

The program lasts 8 weeks (4 or 6 weeks also possible). During the immersion in Brazil, students will be welcomed by their Brazilian host families as if they were a new family member. 

What should I expect from my Homestay in Brazil?

  • The goal of this program is to experience social integration with Brazilians
  • You will live with friendly and welcoming Brazilian families who are looking for an intercultural experience.
  • You will receive 10 hours of Portuguese lessons during their program
  • You can call an emergency phone number 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • There is a post-arrival orientation to introduce the student to the Brazilian culture.
  • You will be assisted by the host family and local coordinator to plan your individual itinerary to meet your needs. This can be extra language classes, sightseeing trips with a recommended travel agency, etc.

Location

All over Brazil, but you will be placed in cities from 25,000 people and up. You will not be placed in rural areas.

Cultural activities vary depending on the destination. By activities, we mean that students accompany their host families on all outings and are assisted in planning individual itineraries that meet their interests.

It is also possible to book day trips or multiple-day excursions once you are with the host family through a highly recommended and safe travel agency that specializes in trips for exchange students.

A minimum of one year of Portuguese language study. 
Age: 15 to 20 years old.
