Study abroad in Yucatan! We welcome you to this wonderful region of Yucatan for your school year abroad in Mexico. You attend a private school with your Mexican classmates. Yucatán, located in the Southeast of Mexico, is known for its Mayan heritage, colonial architecture, and incredible natural landscapes. This program allows you to live an immersive experience in Mexican history. You may explore ancient Mayan ruins, such as Chichen Itza and Uxmal, learn about traditional Yucatecan cuisine, and participate in local festivals like Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead).

Courses are held in Spanish and include

- Art,
- Music,

- and Italian.
All schools offer English courses, some of them French courses also.
Schools may have extacurricular activities or clubs; some sports activities or theatre and music may sometimes be offered. You may wear a uniform (sometimes a t-shirt with school name or entire uniform).
Your school experience in Yucatan
Interact as much as possible with your new classmates to make friends easily! Your teachers are welcoming and expect you to be involved in class, committed to your studies, and motivated to learn Spanish!
Not all schools offer extracurricular activities, but there is always the chance to join sports clubs in the community as well. The most common sports practiced by teenagers are soccer, basketball, swimming, and volleyball.
Schools participate in and celebrate regional traditions, such as Hanal Pixán (the Mayan Day of the Dead) and the Gremios (religious festivals), which are integral parts of Yucatecan identity. Students frequently engage in cultural activities, such as traditional dance, music, and art, reflecting the vibrant cultural life of the region.
