International students have the opportunity to attend a 7-day permanent bilingual boarding schools in Italy. What does it mean?

  • You will live at school 7 days a week, including on weekends;
  • During the school break for Christmas and New Eve you have the opportunity to do a cultural immersion in an Italian host family or fly back home;
  • On weekdays you are able to enjoy some free time in town after school;
  • You attend a Bilingual curriculum, with some subjects taught in Italian and some subjects taught in English.

Bilingual English-Italian High School in Italy

Students may choose the so-called Cambridge option: they study English language and literature more intensively, History, as well as Biology in English. This is a unique opportunity for English native speakers to earn High School credits in some subjects while they study Italian.

The school offers 2 streams: Liceo Scientifico and Liceo Matematico. The school includes subjects and curricula from the British school system.

  • Italian Language and Literature (4 hours)
  • Latin Language and Literature (3 hours)
  • English Language and Culture (3 hours)
  • Conversation class (only in Grades 9, 10, and 11, 1 hour)
  • History and Geography in Italian (2 to 3 hours) + History in English (in Grades 10, 11, and 12, 1 hour)
  • Philosophy (only in Grades 11, 12, and 13, 3 hours)
  • Maths (4 to 5 hours)
  • Physics (2 to 3 hours)
  • Natural Science (2 to 3 hours) 
  • Biology in English (only in Grades 9, 10, and 11, 1 to 2 hours)
  • Design and Art History (2 hours)
  • P.E. (2 hours)


Most students attending this school are Italian; it is not an international school. Immersion into the Italian language and culture is guaranteed!

Highlights of the Program:

Study abroad in a permanent boarding school in Italy!
This program is pretty unique. It allows you to live at school with your classmates full time, during weekdays and weekends. This is what we call "permanent boarding" or "7-Day boarding" in Italy. 

You will have the support of the school staff and of an Italian local coordinator in the are. 

Orientation Camp on Arrival: Upon arrival, students are welcomed on an Orientation camp for 5 days. A great opportunity to meet other exchange students and make friends!

Exchange students live at the boarding quarters with their school friends during the week and on the weekends, with full board (7-day boarding).

During school holidays (Christmas and New Eve), students may fly back home or may be hosted by an Italian host family, with a full board.

Exchange students must be interviewed in their home country before being accepted for a High School exchange in a Boarding school in Italy.
A minimum of two years of Italian and English study and good academic results are required to study in Italy.
