Internship United Kingdom

DESCRIPTION :

The internship in England is aimed to understand how work is conducted in the UK. It enables the student to improve his/her ability to speak English, understand the UK work ethic and experience cultural diversity. EU students may choose to attend a full English learning program prior to their internship placement. Non-EU students must attend a full language program of at least 15 hours per week during their Internship in England. It allows them to work 20 hours per week. The combination of the language course and the Internship allow them to get a valid student visa.

INTERNSHIP PLACEMENT:
Unpaid qualified internships in England are offered in the following sector: human resources, secretarial & administration, information technology & web design, marketing, manufacturing, import - export, foreign trade, engineering, graphics & design, environmental studies, health care & pharmaceuticals, tourism & leisure, hotel, catering & hospitality, communications, finance and banking or ecology and environmental.

WORK CONDITIONS:
The timetable and conditions of the internship is to be agreed upon at the time of interview between the employer and the intern.

ACCOMMODATION :

Accommodation and board remain the responsibility of the student.

ELIGIBILITY :

All citizenships.
No visa required for EU students. Student Working Holiday Visa for Commonwealth students. Student Visa for non-EU students.

DEADLINE :

At least 3 months before arrival in England. Late application may be accepted.

CONDITIONS - INTERNSHIP IN ENGLAND :

Applicants to an internship in England need:
- to have at least an intermediate level of English on arrival;
- to have some previous work experience.

PRICE INCLUDES :

- International airfare
- International Travel insurance
- Visa, passport and medical exam fees
- Accommodation and board during the entire program
- Airport pick-up and transfers
- Extra language courses, personal expenses, pocket money
- Medical and Emergency Repatriation Insurance (may be provided by Nacel for an extra cost)
- Application fees (35 euros)
