Internship in Canada DESCRIPTION :
The Internship Program in Canada is a high quality and complete unpaid work experience for international students coming to Vancouver, Canada, to improve their English skills and to practice it in a Canadian business environment. It's not a summer job. All participants spend 4 weeks at a College, attending the so called “internship preparation program” prior to doing a professional internship. During the internship (4 or 8 weeks), participants attend a series of workshops and seminars, called the Professional Development Series. The internship in Canada is monitored (weekly reports, performance evaluations, certificates and references).
INTERNSHIP PLACEMENT IN CANADA:
Unpaid qualified internships in Canada are offered in the following sector: engineering, architecture, construction management, business administration, psychology, sociology, social pedagogic, social sciences, information technology, hospitality/tourism, TV production, commercials video production, music video production, multimedia effects, photography and sports.
WORK CONDITIONS:
The timetable and conditions of the internship in Canada is to be agreed upon at the time of interview between the employer and the intern.
ACCOMMODATION :
Accommodation and board remain the responsibility of the student. Host family or hostels on offer.
LESSONS :
240 hours
ELIGIBILITY :
All citizenships.
Study Permit with a Work Authorization – with a C30 Exemption (or Working Holiday or SWAP).
DEADLINE :
At least 3 months before arrival in Canada. Late application may be accepted.

CONDITIONS - INTERNSHIP IN CANADA :
Applicants to an internship in Canada need:
- to have at least an intermediate level of English on arrival;
- to have some previous work experience;
- to be a graduate or undergraduate student in their home country.

PRICE INCLUDES :
- Administration fees
- 6 weeks in class preparation
- 6 weeks internship placement
- Workshops, seminars, reports, evaluations, certificates, Material fee
- Airport pick up and transfer on arrival if the student is accommodated in a home stay
- Support, assistance and 24 hours emergency phone number during the whole program
PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE :
- International airfare
- International Travel insurance
- Visa, passport and medical exam fees
- Airport pick-up and transfers ($65 CDN each way) if the student is not accommodated in a homestay
- Accommodation and board fees during the entire program
- Local transport, extra language courses
- Personal expenses and pocket money
- Medical and Emergency Repatriation Insurance (may be provided by Nacel for an extra cost)
- Application fees (35 euros)
